Search Slingshot is the offspring of WebDirect CMS. While helping companies build their online business, the WebDirect staff gained a growing awareness that once a website is built, it must be found. In the infinitely expanding web, it is becoming ever more difficult for businesses to attract attention online. In fact, without deliberate efforts to be found by search engines and to engage online users, a website can exist indefinitely in a state of limbo. Out of this need, Search SlingShot was born in 2009.
Search Slingshot is a full scale online marketing company, set up to help launch new websites and to improve existing websites through meticulous SEO techniques, strategic keyword targeting and purposeful content development. Search Slingshot utilizes intelligent online marketing techniques to improve web business and to see customers achieve the best possible rankings. We are happy to introduce you to our company and our team.
Jeremy Bailey – President of Search Slingshot
Jeremy has been in the web development industry since 2000 and is not only the genius behind the technology of WebDirect CMS but is also the driving force behind its development. Originally a chemical engineering major at Clarkson University, he developed strong problem solving skills and set out to solve the greatest problem of all; taming the World Wide Web. While his proprietary content management system has been running for six years and continues to grow stronger and more efficient, Jeremy is ready for the next challenge.
Jeremy considers him self extremely fortunate to have gotten in on the ground floor of the internet industry and early on saw a strong and growing need for online marketing and has long seen internet marketing services as a natural pairing with the content management service. With the official launch of Search Slingshot, a company which will solely serve this need, Jeremy is thrilled to step into the next threshold of online business.
Jennifer Van Iderstyne – Online Marketing Director
Jen, like many SEO’s, has a background in Politics and a BA from SUNY Potsdam. A major which gave her the inclination to question convention, and the desire to seek innovative solutions. Jen was fortunate enough to have her initiation into the world of SEO with We Build Pages, one the industry’s leading internet marketing companies. She was promoted to management within her first 4 months and became responsible for managing link building accounts, conducting on-site analysis and creating full scale SEO reports. In very little time, she became remarkably proficient in the nuances of SEO through repeated trials by fire. During her tenure she had the responsibility of managing the internet marketing campaigns of numerous websites both large and small in almost every industry imaginable. At WBP her Blog Post entitled “How Getting Links Is Like Picking Up a Woman“ was named among the “Best Internet Marketing Posts of 2008” by Techipedia.
Her expertise covers on-page technical analysis, keyword management, content creation social media outreach, competitive analysis and much, much more. She is wildly in love with the art and science that is SEO and is happily labeled as a “workaholic”.
When she does get out of the office, Jen can usually be found indulging her other passion, the theater. Having performed in over 50 live productions over the last 2 decades, and participating in an Improv troupe for the last 5 years, she is adept at thinking on her feet and has never been called shy. This opportunity brings all of her skills together and she is beyond excited to become a vital part of the Search Slingshot team.
